CP2K–Newton-X–Libra–WaveMixings: Kiel/Online, from 14 to 16 October 2026.
Registration is now open for the International Autumn School CP2K–Newton-X–Libra–WaveMixings for Mixed Classical–Quantum Dynamics, which will take place in Kiel, Germany, from 14 to 16 October 2026. Remote participation will also be possible.
The school will combine expert lectures on the theoretical foundations of mixed quantum–classical dynamics with practical, hands-on training on high-performance computing systems. The programme will cover topics including nonadiabatic molecular dynamics, excited states, trajectory surface hopping, Ehrenfest dynamics, time-dependent density functional theory, GW and the Bethe–Salpeter equation, machine learning, and high-performance computing.
The practical sessions will introduce the software packages CP2K, Newton-X, Libra, and WaveMixings. Participants will also have the opportunity to present their research and interact with the lecturers during a poster session.
I will contribute to the teaching programme together with Ritama Kar and Rafael S. Mattos from our group, as well as colleagues from Kiel, Buffalo, Bochum, Regensburg, Zurich, Hangzhou, and Merced.
Registration is open on a first-come, first-served basis. The course is free for members of German universities and publicly funded research institutions. Limited financial support is available to help participants cover travel expenses.
Dates: 14–16 October 2026 Venue: Wissenschaftszentrum Kiel, Germany Format: In person and online
